Diaper Drive – This club organized a diaper drive for the single mothers and children in a local homeless shelter.
In place of their monthly luncheon, members were asked to buy diapers and drop them off at one of the many sites the club set-up around town. The media was contacted in advance, announcing the diaper drive to the public and covered the event.
The public response was overwhelming and the club wound up receiving the diapers for two weeks after the event, with people dropping diapers off at the home through out the month. The home recieved enough diapers to last for nine months! Each time there was a drop off, the media covered it.
